Kickstarters!

Hey friends!

Over the past few months I've worked on 2 Kickstarter videos. Both for great companies that have been a joy working with. They both are custom hand made items made in U.S.A. The first one is Cross Bags: A fully customizable men's messenger bag company. Later on they plan on launching tote bags, back packs, and more. They're also launching a beer koozie with the Kickstarter as a nice little gift incentive to their contributors. I must say the beer koozie is genius!. Take a look.

The bags are mostly made out of leather, wool, and wax canvas. Three great materials to keep your gadgets safe and have a stylish bag! Their Kickstarter campaign can be seen here! Also their Cross Bag's website. Any bit helps even if you just share the page to spread the word would be appreciated! I made the video with good friend of mine Brian Morgan. Be sure to check out his website as well!

The second company is Peter Field. Peter Field is all about custom mens clothing. They're starting out with just ties, pocket squares and vests but later on they plan to offer the whole mens regalia. The materials are all really nice and the ties are made to your fit. Be sure to check out they're Kickstarter campaign as well here!

Sony NEX-VG900 Camera Review

Happy New Year everyone!

Recently I helped out a friend of mine Caleb Pike out on his podcast shoot for the new Sony VG900. It was a lot of fun! We went around the city shooting everything from crowds of people walking on State Street to the beautiful city architecture. Attached below is the video review. Check it out! It was a joy working with Caleb, he's very knowledgable. If you haven't already please check out his website, www.dslrvideoshooter.com for more reviews and such on anything DSLR related. As far as the camera goes I was pretty impressed with what Sony has brought to the table with this new camera. Albeit, it's a little on the pricey side, just like most Sony products in my opinion. It has a lot of great features though that our DSLR's don't have. Features such as low shutter speeds, clean HDMI out, and a handy nice top handle for hand-held shooting to name a few. It's has a very camcorder-like feel to it, different from DSLR's which is a bit foreign as I've been almost exclusively been working with DSLR's for quite some time now. Still it was nice to see there are other great products out there! Enjoy the video.

Chicago Startup Weekend

A few weeks back I shot some video for Chicago Startup Weekend at The Merchandise Mart. I've recently started doing some work for a company called Robotoaster. Robotoaster is a great company that does a lot of marketing and ad video work ranging from bands to promotional videos. It's growing very fast and I'm glad to be a part of it! Chicago Startup Weekend was something very new to me. Essentially, a bunch of designers, business management, and techies get together and pitch ideas. Those ideas will then form groups which in turn will hopefully become a successful company. On the last day of the weekend, Sunday, the companies will pitch again but this time their basic company outline to the selected judges. Those Judges will then pick a winner that goes to Global Startup Battle. All of it is a fascinating process involving people working day and night getting ready for their presentations. Just being there filming a lot of the event was very eye opening. It was crazy to see companies form out of nothing in a matter of a few days. Down below is the promo video I helped shoot on. Check it out! Also check out Robotoaster. Like the page and such. I'm going to try and post more often as i'm always trying to update my website. Thanks for reading!
